Molly Heller

Molly Heller is a Salt Lake City dance artist and Assistant Professor in the School of Dance at the University of Utah. Her research investigates performance as a healing practice and the relationship between physical expression and emotion. She specializes in contemporary technique (including her own form – Tennis Shoe Technique), improvisation, creative process, entrepreneurship, teaching methods, and wellness practices. Molly is also Co-Director of Salt Dance Fest, a professional intensive focused on the creative process. Molly’s choreographic work is an extension of her interest in health and wellbeing, as well as an interweaving of theater practices and dance. Currently, Molly is working with the Wellness Center at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (SLC) on a workshop series entitled, "The Expressive Body: Healing Movement Practices," and with funding from the Council of Dee Fellows, co-facilitating a week-long Wellness Immersion in the School of Dance with Pamela Geber-Handman. mollyheller.com
