On January 16 - 17, stakeholders in the field of arts in health gathered to help create strategic partnerships and action plans focusing on burnout, advancing arts in public health, and arts in health research. The goal of this meeting was to leverage participants' expertise and develop partnerships and action plans to chart a path forward across the fields of medical care, medical education, and public health for using the arts to support health and well-being. The summit focused on reviewing the recommendations contained in the NOAH 2018 Summit Report and on three priority areas raised:
- How the arts can address burnout of medical and public health practitioners
- Advancing arts in health in public health and well-being
- Moving the arts in health research agenda forward
Thank you to our wonderful participants and to our sponsors, the Arts and Healing Program at Inova Schar Cancer Institute and the Hamilton Saykaly Garbulinska Foundation, for making this meeting possible! We look forward to continuing to work together on the recommendations resulting from this meeting.
