The Arts & Health Working Group will identify and support faculty interested in pursuing research and/or creative scholarship focused on the intersections of arts and health. “Arts & Health” is defined by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as research/creative scholarship that examines the impact of arts activities on personal, social, and community health. Scholarship ranges from creative arts therapies to arts-in-health programs to arts education. As a home to world class creative work and cutting-edge health science, the University of Utah conducts some of the most impactful arts & health research in the world.
