Huntsman Cancer Institute, Wellness and Integrative Health Center: Artist-in-Residence Program

The Artist-in-Residence Program serves patients, their loved ones, and health care staff by bringing art making to health care settings. Through the program, a professional artist ("artist in residence") is selected who comes to the hospital a specific day each week and works with patients and their loved ones to learn about, discuss, and create art. These artists develop supportive relationships with patients and offer them something to look forward to during inpatient stays.
